Media Expert Founder and CEO of Harley St Skin & Ballingdon Hall Retreat
Dr Aamer Khan is a British cosmetic doctor, author, television personality, radio host, and keynote speaker, and is best known for being the medical director, lead physician, and co-owner of The Harley Street Skin Clinic.
Qualifying as a doctor at the University of Birmingham in 1986 with an MB ChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), he completed his postgraduate training in University Hospitals Birmingham. Dr Khan has had an illustrious medical career, holding numerous distinguished positions, such as Registrar in General Practice (from 1990 to 1991), clinical tutor at the University of Birmingham (from 1991 to 1995), and Physician in Charge at the BUPA Wellness programme (from 1998 to 2005).
Dr Khan has received accreditation from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic surgeons, the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, and the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners.
Alongside wife Lesley Reynolds, Dr Khan founded The Harley Street Skin Clinic in 2007. He has since dedicated his expertise to fine-tuning the procedures on offer and developing the clinic’s skincare range - Harley Street Skin Care - on top of exploring his specialist interests in human psychology, psychiatry, medicine, and dermatology.
Armed with his innovative non-invasive treatments and expertise of Fillers and Botox, Dr. Khan’s pioneering treatments are set on keeping patients from going under the knife to guarantee them the youth that can’t be found on the shelves. Dr. Khan’s contributions to the field also extend to scholarly articles such as ‘Treating The Decolletage’ for Aesthetics Magazine and Turn Back Time, a book aimed at boosting the health of the British public.
Dr Khan’s knowledge and dedication to medicine and cosmetic treatments has also been recognised through his various TV and radio appearances, as well as his regular newspaper columns and keynote speeches.
He is a frequent face on shows like Lorraine, This Morning, Daybreak, and The One Show - and he’s even performed treatments live on our favourite famous faces during his appearances! But when he’s not showcasing his medical talents on daytime TV, he’s bringing his medical and cosmetic insight to a variety of documentaries discussing aesthetics.
In 2009, he appeared on Make Me White and The Truth About Beauty, both of which were hard-hitting discussions of beauty and society’s relationship with how we look.
However, it’s safe to say that the peak of Khan’s broadcasting career so far was Stitch Me, Lift Me, Tuck Me, a fly on the wall docu-series dedicated to seeing what happens behind the scenes at one of London’s most exclusive cosmetic surgery clinics. Broadcast by Sky Living, this 10-parter brought us all-access insight into the celebrity clientele and luxurious lifestyle of the brains behind the clinic - Lesley Reynolds, and Dr Khan.
He has also been interviewed for a variety of news sources for his perspective on celebrity cosmetic surgery. This includes The Metro, The BBC, The Mirror, Entertainment Daily, and The Daily Record..
